Testing Animal Products

Monday, July 13th, 2009

For several years, lots of folks have assumed that product testing on animals is a required, if sad, practice. The majority of animal product tests are done in scenarios where they can not most likely be justified. Testing scents, cosmetics, and other consumer goods on animals barely seems sensible, since we already know the way that these products affect humans who are exposed to them. Even animal product testing involving new drugs is generally inferior to modeling the results of the medicine on PC simulations.

Naturally, ending animal product testing isn’t the sole thing that we should do to finish animal savagery. A large amount of the techniques that we treat animals simply need to be modified. A few of them make me sick to even think about. For instance, the beef and animal products industry is a tragedy in any sense of the word. Animals are raised in tiny, constrictive pens where they hardly have any room to move at all. They are massacred in techniques that are agonizing and inhumane, and denied veterinary care while they are alive.

As a community, a country, and a world, it’s time that we take a long look at how we treat our fellow creatures and make some huge changes. Luckily, there are plenty of things that even one individual can do to help end animal product testing. One of the absolute best things you can do is to give to some charity that is working to help. It’s all up to you to find the one that appears to be doing the best work. Even better than simply giving money to some kind of charity is getting concerned yourself. You can start by writing letters to your local represented officers prompting them to help end animal product testing.

If you need to get even more concerned, can volunteer for one of the charities out there working on ending animal cruelty.

Not only is this one of the best paths to help, but it will be a superb way to make pals and feel better about yourself.
